Rakhi Sawant is a woman of many talents. Even though Wikipedia describes her as an "Indian dancer, model, actress and television talk show host," it is evident that she is far more. Would it be far-fetched to call her a motivational speaker, Mother (in the Gen Z way), and a source of inspiration? Perhaps not.
Rakhi taught us what metaphors are with her song, Mohabbat Hai Mirchi. She moved in ways the human body should not and cannot during the Bollywood remix era, and if her performance in Pardesiya isn't a core memory for you, you're only being deceitful to yourself. The famed reality star possesses an innate charm that cannot be taught or replicated. Rakhi is Rakhi, unapologetically and wholeheartedly, regardless of her wide array of conflicting views.
In many ways, the Indian star is an emblem of the human experience. While one cannot possibly summarise every single path-breaking, nerve-wracking, earth-shattering thing she has said or done, here are five times she was a beacon of wisdom for one and all:
On business ideas
"I want to live alone," a disgruntled, yet hopeful Rakhi can be seen saying in another video of her numerous interactions with the paparazzi. "I want to become something. I want to open a tea shop. I will live alone my entire life, open a tea shop, make tea, serve it to others, and in the process, I will become the Prime Minister." The trajectory. The flawlessness of the plan. The latent desire to dethrone another PM with a similar backstory. Iconic, awe-inspiring, and entrepreneurial.

On sorrow
A half-seated Rakhi peers out of her open car door as she addresses her loyal subjects (the paps). "There is so much sorrow in my life, so much sorrow," laments the icon. "Had so much bubblegum in my childhood, this sorrow is not leaving me." The train of thought. The self-awareness. The acceptance. Only a truly spiritually aligned, emotionally ascended being could befriend and make peace with pain.

On the evil eye
Glancing straight into the camera, an-inspired Rakhi states, "Hey guys, listen to this formula for life. On your Instagram, on your WhatsApp, everywhere - put up sad display pictures. If you put up a sad display picture, you can ward off the evil eye. People will think you are immensely sad in life, and, in turn, become overjoyed."
Continuing further, she shares, "But, if you keep a happy display picture - one where you are immensely happy - you will be impacted by the evil eye. So much so that people will find ways to hurt you. Why are they happy when we are not? However much you can, keep your display pictures sad. Like I have done. My WhatsApp display picture is sad. People have a lot of fun knowing I am sad, I am crying."
The analysis. The commentary. The shrewd-mindedness. The selfless desire for others to benefit from her life hacks. A leader in the making, no doubt, like no other.

On her dramatic flair
A stunning yellow sari envelopes Rakhi as she says, "To those who say I do drama: yes, I do drama. To those who criticise me, are jealous of me, laugh at me, and say all kinds of things, I just have one thing to say to you: would you like to know?" Usually a woman of many words, Rakhi proceeds to utter gibberish, blowing raspberries in the process.
The level of self-comfort. The defiance of dictionaries. The impenetrable shield of armour that is her tested mettle. Truly, a lesson in knowing that less is more, and words often fail when gestures are deafening.

On inflation
An angry Rakhi addresses the paparazzi. "Are tomatoes things to be made expensive?" questions the thought leader. "How will I make my chutney now? Tell me. No, tell me, how will I make my tomato chutney, my tomato gravy now? I think that if it's someone's birthday, gift them tomatoes. If they're getting married, gift them tomatoes."
The amplification of social issues. The concern for societal welfare. The out-of-the-box thinking. Leagues ahead in terms of creative solutions, truth be told.

While these are just five instances of Rakhi being an absolute gold mine when it comes to forward-thinking, her existence itself is a testament to resilience. A pathblazer in her own right, the multihyphenate is as entertaining as she is profound. God bless Rakhi Sawant, and God bless the day the world was blessed with this superstar who has stood the test of time and the trials of society.
