Despite the controversies and protests of the extremist Hindus, the movie 'Pathan' by the King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan became the first Bollywood movie to earn a record on the first day of its release.

The film “Pathan” made history by becoming the first Indian movie to earn 100 crores on its opening day. Despite facing criticism from Hindu extremists, it was released on January 25 in 8,000 theaters globally, including in India. With Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in the lead, it set a new record by earning two billion rupees in just two days. “Pathan” also became the first film to be released on 8,000 screens worldwide and went on to earn 542 crores, or 5 billion 42 crore rupees, in its first week, making it the highest-grossing Indian film in its first week of release. According to the Indian Express, the movie earned 280 crores by the end of January 28 and broke another record on January 29 by earning 542 crores in its first week.
Apart from this, Shah Rukh Khan has entered the list of highest-grossing Indian films of all time at number 10 with record-grossing and is likely to reach the opening numbers by next week.
According to ‘Bollywood Hungama’, ‘Pathan’ reached the 10th position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films of all time till 30 January with a gross of Rs 542 crore.
Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ is the highest-grossing film, while Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is in the second position, Aamir Khan’s ‘Secret Superstar’ is in the third position, and Aamir Khan fourth position. There is the movie ‘PK’.
The fifth highest-grossing Indian film is ‘Sultan’, while Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’ is in the sixth position, ‘Padmaavat’ is in the seventh position, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is in the eighth position, and ‘Dhoom 3’ is in the ninth position. And the tenth place is ‘Pathan’.
Thus, out of the top 10 highest-grossing films of all time in India, 8 films are by Muslim actors, and only two films 'Padmaavat' and 'Sanju' are by Hindu actors.
