  • Firstly, the applying candidate should be a permanent resident of Gujarat state.

  • Under this scheme, the applicant can get the facility at the time of his daughter's marriage.

  • Benefits under this scheme are available till the marriage of two adult girls of the family.

  • The age of the bride should be at least 18 years at the time of marriage and the age of the groom should be 21 years.

  • In rural areas, the family has an annual income of Rs. 1,20,000, while in urban areas the limit is Rs. 1,50,000.

  • The benefit under this scheme is not available on remarriage of the girl.

  • Application for assistance must be made within two years of marriage.

  • Girls belonging to seven Fera Group Scheduled Districts are eligible for the assistance of this scheme.

Assistance Available:

Under the Mangalsutra Yojana, the state government provides financial assistance to girls for motherhood.

Under the Kunvarbai Mameru Yojana (for brides married after 1/4/2021) as per the revised rate Rs. 12000/- will be paid as assistance.

As per the old rate, a bride married before 1/4/2021 Rs. 10000/- will get assistance.

Assistance under Mangalsutra Yojana is provided through cheque, which will be issued in the name of the bride only.
