According to the report of the Reuters news agency, the Saudi football club Al-Nasr has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Al-Nasr after leaving the English football club Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford last month, saying he had been betrayed by the club and was not treated with respect by the coach from the Netherlands.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Football Club Al-Nasr, it was said that the 5-time Ballon d’Or player has signed a contract with the club until 2025, but did not release financial details. Regarding Ronaldo’s contract, the media believe that his contract has been done for 20 million euros ($214 million). After the club’s announcement, Ronaldo said in a statement: “I’m lucky to have everything I’ve had, I’ve been successful in European football and now I think it’s a better opportunity to gain experience in Asia”. “I am enthusiastic about joining the new team and being able to play a role in helping the club achieve success,” he said. Cristiano Ronaldo previously led Spain’s famous club Real Madrid to two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions Leagues, and three Club World Cups between 2009 and 2018. He broke the record by scoring 451 goals for Real Madrid and has a total of 800 goals throughout his career. Ronaldo spent 3 years with the Italian football club Juventus during which he won the Serie A twice and the Coppa Italia once.

Later, he returned once again to the famous English club Manchester United, where he won the Premier League three times in his first tenure and was instrumental in winning the FA Cup three times, the League Cup twice, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup. What was the role? He recently represented Portugal in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar where he scored in the opening Group H match against Ghana to become the first player to score in 5 World Cups. Portugal was defeated by Morocco in the quarter-finals of the World Cup and their trip to the World Cup was over.

Ronaldo said that the Qatar World Cup could be the last World Cup of his career as he is planning to retire at the age of 40 and there were talks about his career even before the contract with the Saudi Arabian club.

Al-Nasr Football Club President Musli Al-Mumar said that this is happening beyond history, this is an agreement that will not only be a great success for our club but also our league, our nation, and our future. It will also be beneficial. The Saudi Arabian club, who have won nine Saudi Pro Premier League titles, expect Ronaldo to play a key role in winning more domestic titles and a first Asian Champions League.
