Saudi All-Stars Vs PSG Super Stars

The exhibition is set to take place in King Fahd International Stadium, Riyadh, at 1600 hours local time. It will also mark the debut of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo signed with Al Nassr just last month for a contract of approximately $ 75 Million annually. However, the match will not be considered Ronaldo’s debut for Al Nassr as the match is not strictly for Al Nassr but a mixed roster from Al Nassr and Al Hilal.

Saudi All-Stars Vs PSG Super Stars

Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo are considered the best football players in the World right now and will be the names we will remember for years to come. On 19 Jan 2023, they are clashing once again, with Messi wearing PSG’s kit and Ronaldo wearing Riyadh All Stars’ kit, which will be a combination of Saudi clubs, Al Nassr’s, and Al Hilal are the best players. Sadly, it may be the last time the two legends clash as they both are no longer in the same league. This fact has made the match even more exclusive, so much so that a Saudi Real Estate Magnate has reportedly paid a whopping $ 2.6 Million for a VIP ticket.

The All-Star team will be coached by guest Marcelo Gallardo and not Al Nassr’s head coach Rudi Garcia. This game was originally supposed to take place in early 2022 but PSG's tour had to be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. At that time, Messi played for PSG, but Ronaldo was still in Europe with Manchester United. However, the contracts signed for this tour remained valid which is why PSG was obliged to return as part of their latest visit to Qatar which has since hosted the FIFA World Cup which Messi won with Argentina.

To build excitement for the match, Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Entertainment Turki al-Sheikh announced a charity auction for a "Beyond Imagination" ticket. This ticket would allow the winning fan to attend the opening ceremony, access the team locker rooms, and meet players such as Ronaldo, Messi, and PSG's Kylian Mbappé.

Bidding for the "Beyond Imagination" ticket reportedly began at 1 million Saudi riyals ($266,000) before closing at 10 million riyals ($2.6 million). The proceeds, al-Sheikh said, will go to the Saudi charity Ehsan.

All previous Messi vs Ronaldo are listed as follows;

Aug. 2011: Barca beat Real 3-2 in the Supercopa second leg with Messi scoring twice and Ronaldo tallying once. It was not the most important of games, but a Clasico remains a Clasico and it foreshadowed the explosive growth of their rivalry on the global stage.

Oct. 2012: Both players scored twice in a 2-2 draw in La Liga which included a sensational Messi free-kick. Barca was dominant that season, but Real held their own in this one at Camp Nou and it was the perfect illustration of how El Clasico became just about them at one point -- the biggest rivalry in soccer in a collective and individual sense.

Mar. 2014: A 4-3 win for Barca away at Real in a Clasico for the ages with Messi scoring three times and assisting the visitors' other goal and Ronaldo scoring once for the beaten hosts. Santiago Bernabeu witnessed the greatness that night with Karim Benzema, Neymar, Andres Iniesta, and Sergio Ramos just some of the supporting cast on an unforgettable night.

May 2018: Their final meeting in Barca and Real colors, each scored once in a 2-2 draw just before Ronaldo's departure to Juventus signaled the end of their dual La Liga dominance.

Dec 2020: Their last meeting came in late 2020 when Juventus thrashed Barcelona 3-0 and Ronaldo scored two penalties
